The Energy Efficiency Association of Uganda (EEAU) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving our members, the energy industry and communities that are working towards efficient use of energy to reduce on energy consumption, transition to clean energy, minimize on the carbon footprint, addressing energy poverty (energy access) by providing a least-cost energy resource, improve performance and reliability of facilities and creation of employment opportunities.
EEAU plays a critical role to ensure that stakeholders have the necessary information, competence and support for a sustainable and secure energy future that will also satisfy the country’s economic, social and environmental needs. This is achieved through our continued efforts to facilitate an immediate and critical energy culture change towards clean and sustainable energy practices

Mandate of EEAU
To embrace diversity and involve every individual within the energy industry enabling them to make a contribution within their capacity and supporting them reach their full potential.
Advocate and provide advice for the development, management, enforcement of and compliance with appropriate standards, codes of practice, laws, regulations and policies within the energy sector
To disseminate information through effective communication, conferences, workshops, publications, trade shows and any other activity targeting engagement of those involved in the energy industry.
Spearhead the transformation of the energy sector by fostering actions that deliver efficient and sustainable energy resources management
Promote research, innovation, technology development and application in energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy management.
Develop and maintain partnerships and collaborative arrangements with other industries and organizations at both national and international levels
To promote the scientific, educational and carrier interests of those engaged in the energy industry
Upholding integrity, professionalism, impartiality, transparency and attitude in the energy sector by subjecting energy professionals to the highest level of accountability, ethical standards and practices through self-regulation.
To be an independent, impartial, reliable and authoritative resource of knowledge and information for government, development partners, investors, businesses, educational institutions and the communities on matters relating to energy engineering and management
