In June 2022 the first certified industrial energy professional (CIEP) course in Uganda and the whole of the Sub Saharan Africa was undertaken in Uganda by EEAU with support of GIZ.

August 2019 EEAU conducts the ISO 50001:2011 EnMS Lead Auditors Training. The course was delivered by BSI and sponsored by GGGI.

The AEE chapter is integrated into EEAU in January 2020
